Re-Opening Guidelines

Hello!

We hope everyone has stayed safe during this unprecedented pandemic.  We wanted to communicate regarding our plan to reopen.  Per Governor Whitmer's orders, we hope begin offering routine care on June 1st, 2020.

The safety of our patients and staff is our number one concern, and we're taking every precaution to ensure as safe of an environment inside our office as possible.  Per the CDC and ADA, we have added extra cleaning and disinfecting practices that will be continually performed in common and treatment areas of the office.  There will also be a number of patient requirements with which most of you are familiar from other businesses or offices.

Here is a list of those requirements:

  • So as to reduce time in the office, all scheduled patients will be called the day before the appointment to take history and reason for the visit.  We ask that any forms that need to be filled out be done so electronically as we will be limiting paper use in the office.
  • Regardless of the reason, every patient entering our office will need to have a face mask or cover.  Please plan to provide your own.
  • Only the scheduled patient will be allowed in office unless needing assistance from a guardian or caregiver.  Please, no additional family members.
  • For all patients,  please call the office when you arrive and wait in your vehicle.  While you remain in your car, your temperature will be taken and you'll be asked a series of screening questions.  Any patients registering a temperature of 99.5 F or above will be asked to reschedule.    All patients will then be given hand sanitizer and escorted to their treatment room.  Please try to touch as little as possible while in the office.

In order to reduce waiting times and the number of patients in the office at one time, we will do our best to allow greater time in between appointments.  That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.  It is not necessary for you to call our office to reschedule an appointment that was cancelled while we were closed.    One of our staff will personally contact you to do so.  Please be aware that initially, there may be a higher volume of patient inquiries by phone.  We'll return calls as soon as we can, so please leave only one message

We look forward to seeing all of you back as soon as possible!

Sincerely,

The Staff at Alpine Family Dentistry
