Kathryn Aldridge

Kathryn Aldridge

Katie graduated with a Master's in Nursing from the Western University of Health Sciences in 2009 and her post Master’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Texas in 2017. She is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has worked in primary care since becoming a nurse practitioner. She is happy to join Pediatric Center of North Austin where she can build long term patient-family relationships to provide comprehensive primary and acute care to infants, children and adolescents across their development. Her clinical interests include newborn care and parent education, breastfeeding support, ADHD, and asthma care.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Katie has 10 years of experience as a bedside nurse working at two world-renowned pediatric intensive units, UCLA and Texas Children’s in Houston, as well as a pediatric transplant coordinator for children who needed new livers and kidneys.

She relocated with her family to her husband’s hometown of Austin in 2015 to be closer to family. While originally from Wisconsin, she would rather sweat out the hot summers in Texas than freeze in the cold winters of the Midwest. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters exploring all that Austin has to offer. You can find them hiking at local parks, riding their bikes around the neighborhood or playing with their 3 dogs and 2 cats at home.
