Greater Amounts Of Electronic Use Throughout The Day May Be Associated With Decreased Sleep Duration, Increase In Insomnia, Depressive Symptoms In Teens.

 

U.S. News & World Report (6/5) reports, “Greater amounts of electronic use throughout the day are linked to decreased sleep duration and an increase in insomnia and depressive symptoms in adolescents,” researchers concluded after surveying some “3,134 adolescents with a mean age of 15.6 years.” The findings were presented at “SLEEP 2018, the 32nd annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies” and simultaneously published in the journal Sleep.
