Infant sling safety
Did you know your infant could suffocate in a sling? The tips below are important!
If you own an infant sling, follow these safety tips from the Consumer Product Safety Commission:
- Make sure the infant’s face is not covered and can be seen by the wearer.
- Change the baby’s position after nursing in a sling. Make sure her head is facing up and clear of the sling and the mother’s body.
- Check the baby often to see that nothing is blocking her nose and mouth. Her chin should be away from her chest.
