Dr. Carter is a native Atlantan. He earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Davidson College and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He and his wife, Meg, live in North Buckhead with their three sons, Davis, Grant, and Aleck along with their two dogs, Bodhi and Finn. Dr. Carter is a member of the Pankey Institute, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, the Hinman Dental Society, the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice and the International College of Dentists. He believes very strongly in his commitment to continuing education and as a result, has studied and continues to study with such organizations as the Pankey Institute, the Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry, and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He is the former President of the Atlanta Dental Study Group and currently leads The Pankey Learning Group for a select group of local colleagues. He also serves as visiting faculty and a member of the advisory board for the Pankey Institute. (www.pankey.org)
In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching baseball and serving as a league director at The Northside Youth Organization (NYO). He enjoys doing home improvement projects and playing golf. He is also a lifetime Atlanta Braves fan!
