Your child has grown up so fast! These teenage years will seem to drag and then fly by. Slow down long enough for your yearly check up! At each check up, the nurse will obtain height and weight, along with blood pressure readings. After a full physical examination, the provider will review and discuss any concerns you have regarding your child's health. We also encourage your child to begin learning to manage their own health. We may ask you as a parent to step outside the room while we talk about issues regarding school and social pressures.
The CDC recommends three different vaccinations to be administered after the age of 11 years. Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis booster is required for 7th grade and HPV and meningitis vaccines are recommended and may be administered at this time.
