Dr. Gambla is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has completed Mohs Fellowship training through the American College of Mohs Surgery. He earned his M.D. degree from the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. After serving as a general practitioner in the U.S. Army for five years, he completed a dermatology residency at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Gambla has a special interest in the evaluation, prevention, and treatment of skin cancer. He and his wife, Laurel, have two sons, Will and Steven.

Dr. Jackson, a native of Florida with Alabama roots, graduated from Florida State University and The University of Florida College of Medicine. He did his residency in Dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences In Little Rock, where, among other things, he did clinical research on variations in the strength of generic drugs. Following several years of private practice in Tallahassee, Florida, he was invited to join Alabama Dermatology Associates, where he has now practiced for over twenty-five years. At this point in his career, his main focus is on medical dermatology of adult patients, with emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases and the detection and prevention of skin cancer. He makes a point of listening to and carefully examining each patient he sees in order to render the best care to each. Dr. Jackson considers the practice of Dermatology to be not just a career, but a calling.

Dr. Lucas was born and raised in the small town of Quitman, Louisiana. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Louisiana Tech University. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude, from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 2003, she moved to Alabama, completing her Internal Medicine internship at the Baptist Health System in Birmingham, where she was named 2003 ‘Intern of the Year’. Dr. Lucas completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006 and remained at UAB as Assistant Professor of Dermatology the following year. She has practiced dermatology in Denver, Colorado and Jackson, Tennessee and in 2014 The Jackson Sun Readers’ Choice Awards named her Best Dermatologist for 2014.

In late 2014, Dr. Lucas moved to Tuscaloosa and joined Alabama Dermatology Associates. She has enjoyed developing lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She takes pride in providing excellent dermatologic care to her patients, caring for them with kindness, compassion and respect. She loves the variety that dermatology brings, treating all ages, a wide range of dermatology conditions, while also offering cosmetic treatments and medical grade skin care. She performs complete skin examinations and specializes in the detection and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Lucas provides cosmetic services, such as filler injection.

In her free time, Dr. Lucas enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling and cheering on the Crimson Tide!

Dr. Richardson was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He attended college at the University of North Florida as a Division I tennis player and later returned to the University of Alabama where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Accountancy. He received his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech, graduating in the top 1% of his class.

He completed his internship at Columbus, Georgia’s Midtown Medical Center and his Dermatology residency at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. During residency he served as head of the program’s cosmetic committee training in a wide variety of cosmetic therapies including fat lipolysis, micro-needling, botox, fillers, sclerotherapy, and lasers. As a senior he was the program’s Chief Resident.

After residency Dr. Richardson completed an accredited Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There he performed numerous Mohs surgery cases and spent time training with plastic surgery to refine his reconstructive ability to the highest standard. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Richardson enjoys providing patients with excellent care in all areas of dermatology and specializes in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. He takes great pride in caring for the residents of Tuscaloosa and giving back to his hometown community.

Outside of dermatology, Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He is also active in a number of outdoor activities including running, mountain biking, tennis, and water sports.

Dr. Karen Walker is a Tuscaloosa native graduating from Central High School where she was valedictorian and a Falcons cheerleader.  She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science in biology.  While at the University, she was a member of Capstone Men and Women, the XXXI, and elected to the Homecoming Court in 1997.

Her doctorate of medicine was obtained from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.  She graduated magna cum laude in 2002 and remained at UAB for internship in Internal Medicine.  Her dermatology training was completed at the Medical College of Georgia where she was Chief Resident.

In 2006, Dr. Walker joined Alabama Dermatology Associates, P.C.  Dr. Walker enjoys treating a wide spectrum of dermatological conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, and rosacea.  She also specializes in skin cancer detection and treatment.  Dr. Walker has been performing rejuvenating procedures including Botox and Dysport injection, filler injection, and chemical peels for over 16 years.  Constant advancements in the arena of dermatology keep Dr. Walker excited about her specialty—biologic treatments for psoriasis, non-surgical skin tightening and body contouring, research-driven skincare are just a few examples. 

Outside of dermatology, Dr. Walker loves spending time with her husband Jonathan Walker, of Alabama Financial Advisors, and four sons.  If she is not within the walls of Alabama Dermatology, you will likely find her on a ball field or court or short-order cooking for ravenous boys.

Dr. Walsh was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has lived in Alabama since 2001. She attended Vanderbilt University where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she graduated at the top of her class.

Dr. Walsh completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her residency in Dermatology at UAB. She also performed a year of post-doctoral research studying the effects of immunosuppressant drugs on the growth of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. She previously worked as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology at UAB.

She has completed an American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) approved and ACGME-accredited Procedural Dermatology fellowship at UAB. During fellowship, she performed over 700 Mohs surgery cases and performed a vast array of reconstructions, including complex, multi-step repairs.

Outside of caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, traveling, horseback riding and learning to play guitar.

Dr. Walsh is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care to her patients. She is committed to providing her patients with the most current medical and surgical therapies in a compassionate and comfortable environment.

Dr. Weeks, a native of Kinston, Alabama is a graduate of Auburn University and Auburn Harrison School of Pharmacy.  He graduated summa cum laude from the the University of Alabama at Birmingham school of medicine.  While in medical school, he was president of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.  He completed his dermatology residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham and joined Alabama Dermatology Associates in 2004.   Dr. Weeks practices medical and surgical dermatology with a special interest in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, skin cancer, and rosacea.   He is very involved in medical missions and has used his dermatology and medicine skills to serve hundreds of patients in Zambia and Kenya.  He enjoys traveling to Africa each summer and spending time with his wife Becky and three daughters.

Staci Hardwick is a Tuscaloosa native that felt called into the field of Nursing at the age of 18. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Science of Nursing from the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing in May 2007. She started her professional nursing adventures as a Registered Nurse at DHC Regional Medical Center Trauma Surgical ICU from 2007-2012. She furthered her nursing knowledge by completing a Masters in Science of Nursing Family practice in 2011 from UAB School of Nursing. Staci is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner and joined Alabama Dermatology Associates in 2012. She proudly enjoys serving her community in the Nurse Practitioner role. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading books, various outdoor activities, craft projects, and spending time wither her husband and daughter.

Shelby Warren was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Shelby received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Shelton State and later graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing.

Soon after, she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the Capstone College of Nursing in 2020. She has worked in the field of Dermatology at Alabama Dermatology Associates for five years.

Shelby currently resides in Northport, Alabama with her husband Parker. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dogs, and reading books. She looks forward to serving the Dermatology needs of her community.

Stacy was born in California and moved to Alabama in 1975. She attended the University of North Alabama and Shelton State Community College before moving to Denver, Colorado where she graduated in laser physics and holds an advanced user license of micro focused ultrasound. She has an extensive background in Aesthetics and light-based treatments.

She has worked in the medical field for over 25 years and was one of the first in Tuscaloosa to treat patients with the use of lasers. Her patients value her experience and expertise when receiving laser treatments. She loves using an artistic approach to reach the goals of her patients and always uses the safest method possible when treating a patient. She currently performs BBL to treat discoloration and photo damage, Ultherapy for tightening/rejuvenation of the face and neck and Tru-Sculpt for body contouring. 

Stacy is married with four children and five grandchildren. She enjoys singing, free diving, riding motorcycles and spending time with her children, grandchildren and animals.

Alicia Holloway is originally a Birmingham, AL native, but has called Tuscaloosa home for the past 15 years. Alicia graduated with her Associates Degree of Nursing from Shelton State Community College in 2015 and started her career in nursing as an RN on the Trauma-Surgical Intensive Care Unit at DCH Regional Medical Center. She then furthered her career aspirations in 2018 and graduated with honors from Samford University’s Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing with her Masters in Science of Nursing. She fell in love with the dermatology specialty while in graduate school and has enjoyed serving the dermatological needs of her community ever since. In her spare time, Alicia enjoys spending time with her two children, traveling, attending Church of the Highlands and enjoying good food and time with friends.
