South Denver ENT & Allergy provides one full service and convenient location for patients to receive medical and surgical care of the ear, nose, and throat.  We treat all aspects fo the ear, nose, and throat including ear infections, middle ear fluid, hearing loss, dizziness, nasal obstruction, sinusitis, tonsil and adenoids, voice care, and inhalant and food allergy testing.  Below is the information you need about our hours, location, appointment scheduling, insurance acceptance and billing policies.

Appointments

Clinic appointments are currently available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  Please call as early as possible for the best selection of appointment times. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so that we may offer the appointment to another patient in need of care. All patients are seen by scheduled appointment. We do make allowances for emergency referrals, but walk-ins are not encouraged. Please refrain from wearing cologne or perfume to your appointment as many patients with allergies seen in the office have sensitivities to these products.

New patients are scheduled to allow for additional examination time. Please arrange routine appointments as far in advance as possible. If you have questions regarding surgery or need to set a date for surgery, your call will be directed to our surgery scheduler. During the day, our surgery scheduler meets with patients who are in the office and who need to schedule surgery. Dr. Rao usually operates on Monday and Thursdays. He has admitting and operative privileges at Swedish Medical Center, Littleton Adventist Hospital, Porter Adventist Hospital, Sky Ridge Medical Center, Rocky Mountain Surgery Center, Centrum Surgical Center, and Harvard Park Surgery Center.

Payment Options

We accept most major insurance carriers.  For patients without insurance or with very high deductibles we do offer discounts and financing options.  Dr. Rao also participates in Doctors Care®, providing accessible care for the underserved.

Our office was designed with state of the art Olympus®, Karl Storz®, and Zeiss® equipment for evaluation and treatment of nasal and sinus disease, voice and swallowing disorders, middle and outer ear disease, and inhalant allergies including:

• flexible nasopharyngoscopy & laryngoscopy
• videostroboscopy
• Restech® Dx-pH measurement system
• binocular otoscopy
• allergy skin testing (end point titration, MQT) & immunotherapy (both shots and sublingual drops)
• in office balloon sinus procedures
• in office VivAer and RhinAer procedures
• in office treatment of nasal airway obstruction and snoring 
• smell evaluation with UPSIT and smell training therapy

Our endoscopic equipment not only allows your physician to view the anatomy relevant to your medical problem, but allows recording of images and video to educate you, compare examinations, and share with your primary care physician. Our examination rooms provide a quiet, private, and comfortable setting for your examination. Examinations of the nose and larynx are done comfortably in the office with topical anesthesia only, making it possible to return to work the same day as your procedure if you so choose.  We also have to ability to perform nasal and sinus procedures on select patients in the office setting.  Our highly trained and experienced nurses will make your allergy skin testing and treatment programs as comfortable and convenient as possible.
