Benefits of Membership
Expanded Access: You will have unlimited access to Dr. Han with various types of visits and communication, including: in-office visits, phone calls, text and portal messages, video chats, and even home visits on a case-by-case basis. Our members will always have a direct open line of communication with Dr. Han all 7 days of the week through the method that is most convenient for you and your family.
Extended Visits: Each appointment will be unrushed, allowing Dr. Han to spend as much as an hour with you to address all your concerns thoroughly. Dr. Han will also provide customized appointments for in-depth consultations, and there will be ample time to provide you with more education and information concerning your child’s growth, development, and any acute or chronic illnesses.
Eliminated Wait Times: Say goodbye to long wait times! Our smaller practice size guarantees same day or next day sick visit appointments and virtually no wait times.
Enhanced Care Coordination: With a smaller patient panel, Dr. Han can dedicate more time towards providing better coordination and management of your child’s care outside of our practice with specialists, schools, and pharmacies. Dr. Han will always be your child’s direct and personal advocate so that your child can receive the best care possible even outside of our office.
Cost Savings: Without insurance billing, you won’t have to worry about co-pays or deductibles for office visits. Additionally, this model will lead to fewer urgent care or emergency room visits, resulting in significant financial savings over time. Any concern you have, big or small, you can visit in-person, text, call, and contact Dr. Han without having to worry about additional costs or charges for visits, as your membership fee covers unlimited access and direct communication with us.
Frequently Asked Questions
Grace Pediatrics bases its care on the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model which is similar to old-fashioned medicine where we had doctors that truly cared about our children's health before we depended on insurance companies to drive our family medical decisions. This concierge-style model eliminates insurance billing in favor of a patient-focused approach and incorporates modern communication via phone calls, text, patient portal messages, email, and video for direct, 7 days a week access to your doctor. We also have a reduced patient population to facilitate greater quality care, all of which is enabled through a monthly subscription which helps your family have enhanced access to their doctor and helps your pediatrician spend time with families, rather than the insurance company.
Yes, non-members are able to make appointments with Dr. Han with certain limitations. Appointment fees will be collected on the day services were provided. Please call our office for more information.
Grace Pediatrics is not contracted with any insurance company. We are considered out-of-network for all insurances. Instead, our Direct Primary Care (DPC) concierge service, is enabled through a monthly subscription with pricing based on your child’s age.
We still recommend that you keep your health insurance policy, as this will pay for any urgent care, emergency care, specialist visits, and surgeries that your child may need. There are other policies that you may consider, such as ‘catastrophic care’ policies, ‘medical cost sharing’ policies, or high deductible policies. These policies may help save you money in comparison to your current insurance plan.
The monthly subscription with Grace Pediatrics may be payable by your FSA or HSA plans. Please verify with your employer if this option is available to you.
Grace Pediatrics believes that vaccinations are safe, effective, and save lives based on all available literature, evidence, and current studies. Grace Pediatrics follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
The AAP recommends vaccines based on age. You can learn more about them here:
Children from birth to 6 years old
Older children aged 7 to 18 years
Grace Pediatrics supports vaccines and practices evidence-based medicine. We also believe in meeting families where they are and caring for every child with the same compassion and respect, regardless of vaccine status.
Our role is to provide honest information, discuss risks and benefits, and partner with families to make thoughtful, individualized decisions. We believe trust is built through open conversation, not pressure.
Grace Pediatrics is currently contracted with a third-party company to provide immunization services to patients according to their insurance plans. Under the contract with the third-party company, immunizations shall be billed to your medical insurance plan and covered according to your insurance coverage. If you do not have any medical insurance at the time of immunization service, Grace Pediatrics will offer immunizations at an additional cost or through the California Vaccines for Children program (VFC) if available and appropriate.
