Your first visit to FOOTDRx will establish a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we will make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor.
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options and possibly x-rays if needed. Potentially treatment can be done on the same day as the consultation. This would depend on what needs to be done. A complex medical history or a complex treatment plan might require the initial evaluation and then another appointment to set up and provide treatment on another day.
Please allow an hour for the first appointment. At FOOTDRx, we try our best to adhere to our schedule to minimize your wait time but various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for your appointment. Emergency cases can arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Bring your insurance card to your appointment.
If your insurance requires a referral for a specialist office visit, make sure this is in place prior to your appointment. It is your responsibility to obtain the referral. You can bring the referral with you or have your PCP send it to our office via fax — (212) 366-4830 — but please call before the appointment and confirm that it has been received.
Bring a list of any medications you might be taking.
If you have any previous testing related to your current condition, like x-rays or MRI, please bring the digital films and report to the office for the appointment.
