Myriam Hernandez received her Masters of Science in Nursing, specializing in pediatrics from Columbia University in New York. She has published several articles and presented at national conferences. She is active in the New Jersey National Association of PNP and the American Nurses Association in NJ and is Nationally Board Certified.
Mrs. Hernandez lives in South River with her husband and 2 children. She is very active with her daughter's gymnastics meets and also enjoys to read and spend lazy days at the beach.
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides comprehensive primary health care to children birth to 21 years of age, and in specific situations, to individuals older than the age of 21 years. Primary care is continuous, comprehensive, family-centered care that focuses on managing current and acute health-care needs, preventing future problems and referral to specialists when appropriate. The PNP provides comprehensive health care to children through assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and managing medication regimens and evaluation of care.
