Board Certified Physician Assistant Dermatology
Jennifer Martinez, is a Board Certified Physician Assistant practicing in Dermatology since 2006. Mrs. Martinez, PA-C earned her Master’s degree of Clinical Medical Sciences through Barry University where she completed her didactic years. Her clinical training composed of internships in Mount Sinai, Jackson Memorial, UM Health- Cedars hospitals with specialties in Dermatology and Surgical Oncology. She fell in love with the Cosmetic, medical and surgery aspect of Dermatology during her internship in 2004 and has been in Dermatology ever since. She earned her certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant and is licensed to practice and prescribe in the State of Florida. Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s through Florida International University majoring in Biology with a minor in Pre-Medicine. She was born and raised in Miami, FL and is fluent in both the Spanish and English.
Jennifer Martinez PA-C has been practicing Advanced Dermatology for over 12 years with Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeons in the South Miami, Pinecrest and Kendall area. Skincare is Jennifer passion, she finds it rewarding to help patients look and feel their best. She is compassionate and listens to her patients’ needs and this shows in her work. She can create an individualized skin care regimen for the patient’s goals in achieving youthful and glowing results.
She performs a variety of rejuvenating treatments such as injectables, Botox, and filler, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) micro needling facial (Vampire facial) to stimulate collagen and give a glow to the skin. She specializes in skin care and treating common dermatological conditions such as acne, rosacea, sun damage, and creates antiaging regimens. These can combine IV infusions with topicals used at home in addition to injectable procedures performed in the office. She can evaluate and create all types of skin conditions and aesthetic needs. She is an expert using the Dermatoscope, which has enhanced her ability to detect irregular pigmented lesions which can lead to Skin Cancer.
Jennifer Martinez PA-C is a member of the Society of Physician Assistant as well as the American Academy of Physician Assistant. She is a speaker and advisor to several Dermatology Pharmaceutical companies where she trains other mid-level PA and ARNP on new medications. She is regularly invited to Advisor Boards to give her expert opinion on medications prior to launching to the market. She continues her education attending Dermatological conferences and seminars to stay up to date on the newest procedures, cosmetic advances, and updated lasers.
