Emmanuel “Manny” Barias, MD serves as the Medical Director of Panhandle Counseling and
Health Center (PCHC) in Guymon, OK, and Director of the Primary Care Division
at Family First Physicians in New Jersey. He is dual board-certified in Family
Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and the National Board
of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of
Family Physicians (FAAFP).
Previously, Dr. Manny served as CEO of Memorial Hospital of Texas County and as a physician
at Specialty Clinics of St. Anne, where he developed strong connections with
patients and the community. Now living in New Jersey, he is excited to
return—remotely—to support the Oklahoma Panhandle again. With a deep
understanding of the region’s unique healthcare challenges, he is committed to
improving primary care access, quality, and coordination at PCHC.
Fondly called “Dr. Manny” by his patients, he is passionate
about integrating innovative healthcare solutions and expanding
patient-centered services to ensure that residents of Texas County receive
high-quality, comprehensive medical care.
Tasha Herrera was raised in Tyrone, Oklahoma. She is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain University. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Tasha has had experience in labor and delivery, community health, and family practice over the previous 10 years. For the past 3 years, Tasha has been a staff nurse at Panhandle Counseling and Health Center. Tasha enjoys spending time with her family, her animals, and going camping.
Tasha will be providing care to patients of all ages. She believes in the importance of patient-centered care and collaborative decision-making with patients based on current evidence-based practice.
Elizabeth Ogbonna, PHMNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with several years of experience in psychiatric health. Elizabeth is presently working with Panhandle Counseling and Health Center, Inc. as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She acquired her master's degree from Walden University, her passion is improving the health and empowering her patients.
Our office setting is patient friendly and handicap accessible. Elizabeth treats mental illnesses of all age groups. She is a dedicated, goal oriented, empathetic and skillful professional whose goal is to contribute positively to the community. Elizabeth attends to each person as a unique individual focusing on helping them achieve the best treatment outcome. She is available in the office Monday through Friday, walk-ins are welcome.
Tonjua Sherrill is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Oklahoma and Kansas. Most of her 20+ year career has been spent working with youth and their families using a collaborative, strengths-based therapy approach. She focuses on providing a welcoming environment where people can feel safe unloading their “baggage” regardless of what brought them in for counseling.
Types of therapy Tonjua uses include Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness to assist and support others to be the author of their own lives.
Tonjua sees children, teens, adults, geriatrics, couples and families. Tonjua addresses depression, anxiety, bipolar, grief, trauma, suicide, crisis, patterns of conflict in relationships and LGBTQIA+.
Tonjua enjoys spending time with her family, this includes her four-legged family members. Ginger and Abby are therapy dogs and at times accompany her to work and provide “therapy”. Tonjua enjoys connecting with others and feels privileged listening to others share their stories with her.
Ginger attended Southwestern Baptist theological seminary, where she received a masters degree in Christian education and a masters of Marriage and Family counseling. She is a licensed counselor in Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia.
Ginger has worked with children, teens, adults and their families for over 10
years in the Texas/Oklahoma Panhandle. She worked for Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch
as a therapist for over five years and lived in the Guymon area for five years
working not only for our agency, but also the Guymon city school system. Ginger
and her family now reside in West Virginia, and she provides services via
telehealth. With her knowledge of this area and experience in the school
systems, she still provides the same specialized care to our community through
telehealth.
Ginger is a Registered Play therapist, she also has many years of experience,
working clients of all ages who have experienced trauma. She is certified and
Neuro-sequential Model of therapeutics (Dr. Bruce Perry-one of the founders of
trauma informed care) and has had many years of experience in animal assisted
therapies. Ginger is trained in several modalities to help alleviate symptoms
of PTSD and reactions to emotional and physical trauma such as EMDR and brain spotting.
Ginger is eclectic in her approach to therapy using CBT and various other
modalities tailored to the needs of the client.
Ginger is a LPC who sees patients of all ages via telehealth.
Dr. Koehn is a native of the panhandle, growing up and graduating from Texhoma High school in 2015. He then moved on to Bethany, Oklahoma where he studied biology/chemistry at Southern Nazarene University. After graduating in 2019, Dr. Koehn then set his sights on his career. After spending a year working in Oklahoma City as a dental assistant, Dr. Koehn was then accepted into the dental program at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. While attending, he was a member of the American Student Dental Association, active within the Rural Dentistry Club, and a volunteer for many events such as Veteran’s Day, Kid’s Day, and afternoon extraction clinics on Monday nights. After graduating from OU in May of this year 2024, Dr. Koehn joined the dental team at PCHC July 1st.
