Welcome to the Diabetic Foot Treatment Centers

Consider the following sobering statistics…

*25.8 million (8.5%) of Americans have diabetes

*1.2 million people with diabetes develop a diabetic foot ulcer every year

*85% of diabetes-related lower limb amputations are preceded by a diabetic foot ulcer

*68% of these patients die within five years of an amputation.  That’s more than breast and colon cancer combined.

Don’t be a statistic, Elect To Save Your Feet, and we will help.

We know diabetes is a 24/7 disease and can contribute to many medical conditions including heart disease, stroke, blindness, kidney disease and yes, serious foot problems.  We’ve developed the Diabetes Foot Treatment Centers as part of our podiatry practice to help you understand, treat and prevent diabetic foot complications.  We encourage you first to become educated with the foot problems one can develop having diabetes by clicking on the links below.  If you or someone you know has one or more of these conditions, an appointment should be made for a comprehensive diabetic foot exam (CDFE) to determine if any treatment or further testing is needed.

Diabetic Neuropathy/Diabetic Nerve Pain

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and Amputation

Diabetic Ulcers/Wound Care=Medical Emergency

Comprehensive Diabetic Foot Exam (CDFE)

A thorough, annual foot examination is recommended for all patients with diabetes. Patients with risk factors, such as neuropathy, a history of ulcers, vascular disease, or foot deformities, should be monitored more frequently.
