 Billy Pournaras makes the quest for a beautiful smile both successful and fun. His love for people is matched only by his energy and enthusiasm for dentistry.

Passionate, dedicated, and extremely personable, Dr. Pournaras relishes opportunity and challenge, and he will work with unparalleled commitment to help each patient achieve his or her dental goals.

After graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in microbiology, Dr. Pournaras pursued his dental studies at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Deeply committed to continuing education, Dr. Pournaras constantly enhances his knowledge by participating in courses throughout the country. His active role in continuing his studies has kept him abreast of the latest advances in the dental field. Dr. Pournaras is a native of Myrtle Beach and an active participant in the dental community.

Dr. Darcy Nirenstein

Darcy Nirenstein is a native of Horry County, growing up in Loris and now residing in North Myrtle Beach. She attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., where she majored in chemistry and minored in biology. She pursued her dental studies at MUSC (Medical Univ. of S.C.) James. B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, where she received her dental degree. To enhance her experience and dental knowledge, Dr. Darcy also completed a General Practice Residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC. During her residency, she mastered the art of root canal therapy and simple and surgical extractions, as well as discovered her love for cosmetic dentistry.

Moving back to the Myrtle Beach area was an easy decision for her as it means being closer to her family and friends. Dr. Darcy loves kayaking with her fiancé, States Roberson, going to the beach, and being a part of the wonderful local community that has helped raise her over the years. She is an active member in both the Grand Strand Junior League and the Grand Strand Alpha Delta Pi Alumni Association, helping the organizations by volunteering with SOS Care, New Directions, and the Ronald McDonald House.

With Dr. Pournaras’ mentorship and continuing education courses, Dr. Darcy is fine tuning her craft in cosmetics to help patients on their smile transformation journeys. With her desire to learn, love for people, and unwavering determination to help patients overcome their fears of the dentist and gain confidence in their smiles, Dr. Darcy has already become an integral part of our office.

She holds memberships in the American Dental Association Academy of General Dentistry South Carolina Dental Association.
