If you have a toothache

1. Rinse mouth with warm salt water (Mix 1 tablespoon of table salt with 1 cup of warm water).
2. Keep area clean, preferably by brushing and flossing to avoid food buildup.
3. Contact Doctor Dionne , or the dental professional of your choice, immediately.

If you've lost a filling:

1. The filling should be replaced as soon as possible to avoid decay and infection caused by food and bacteria.
2. Keep the area clean.
3. Do not place aspirin directly on the area since aspirin will burn the tissue in the mouth.
4. Contact Doctor Dionne , or the dental professional of your choice, immediately.

If you've had a tooth knocked out:

1. Pick up the tooth by the crown.
2. Avoid the root to prevent damaging the root tissue fibers.
3. Put the tooth in a glass of milk or salt water or hold the tooth gently between your cheek and gum.
4. Attempt to see Doctor Dionne , or the dental professional of your choice, within 30 minutes to increase the chance that the tooth can be re-implanted.

If you have a cracked tooth:

1. Avoid any hard foods.
2. Keep the area clean.
3. Avoid any pressure on the tooth.
4. Contact Doctor Dionne , or the dental professional of your choice, immediately.

If a temporary falls out:

1. If the tooth has not had a root canal procedure, avoid cold on the area.
2. Keep area clean.
3. Clean the temporary and
4. Contact Doctor Dionne , or the dental professional of your choice, to put the temporary back in place.
