Meet Our Dental Staff

Ellen - Certified Dental Assistant/Administrative Assistant

Ellen graduated from the dental assisting program at the Career Development Center and received her dental x-ray certification at Old Dominion University.  She began working at our office in 1997 as Dr. Lyn's chairside assistant; she is experienced at working in all areas of our dental office.  Ellen will assist you with scheduling your dental care.  She will explain dental procedures, fees, and office policies.  If you have dental insurance, she will help you to understand and use your insurance benefits.  You will hear her friendly voice when you call or visit Blue Ridge Dental.

Hayden - Dental Assistant

Hayden joined our dental team in 2023, after completing the dental assistant program at Wytheville Community College.  She works with both dentists, and also assists our dental hygienist.  Hayden helps our patients feel relaxed and comfortable during dental treatment. She enjoys providing oral hygiene instructions. 

Mika - Registered Dental Hygienist

Mika works with both dentists to help our patients achieve optimal oral health.  She received her dental hygiene training at Wytheville Community College.  Mika joined our dental team in 2022.  In addition to cleaning the teeth, she also provides periodontal maintenance care.  Our patients appreciate her skillful and gentle touch.

Denise - Certified Dental Assistant

Denise joined our dental team in 2019.  She brings both her dental assisting skills and her friendly personality to our dental office.  Denise has many years of experience in the dental office setting.  Her training has included working chairside and in the front office.  Denise will help you to feel welcome and comfortable when you visit Blue Ridge Dental.

Amy - Dental Assistant

Amy joined our dental team most recently (2024).  Her experience comes from working in several dental offices, after receiving her education at Cape Fear Community College.  She has both the skills we were looking for and a desire to continue learning.  Amy primarily works with Dr. Ben as a chairside assistant.
