Insurance & Billing

This is a professional office that renders quality medical care to patients. Our duty is to preserve the dignity and confidentiality of our patients while receiving appropriate payment for the medical care we have provided.

Payment is expected at the time of service unless arrangements have been made prior to treatment. Most HMO and PPO patients have copayments, deductibles or coinsurance and patients must pay copays and/or deductibles before surgical procedures are performed and at the time that office services are rendered, absent an insurance carrier contract provision to the contrary.

Central Texas Colon and Rectal Surgeons is affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern residency training program. On occasion, a resident may be in attendance with our physicians.

General Information

Appointments

Patients are seen by appointment only. As a courtesy, we try to contact every patient to remind them of their appointment. It is the patient's responsibility to arrive on time for their appointment (earlier if paperwork needs to be filled out). We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel/reschedule your appointment. Continued failure to do so may result in a fee for missing the appointment.

Prescriptions

New prescriptions will be written and handed to the patient or sent electronically to your pharmacy. Refills (even if none remaining) will be handled by the patient calling their pharmacy and the pharmacy will contact the doctor's office for refill information. (Please allow 24-48 hours for processing.) Please monitor your prescription situation before weekends and holidays to prevent any delays in refills due to another doctor covering for your own.
