What if I need to speak to my physician after office hours?
Our office is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday to assist with your medical needs. While we understand that the practice of medicine does not stop when our office closes, should your matter be a true medical emergency we ask that you call 911 or head directly to the nearest Emergency Room.
From Friday 4:30pm until Monday 8 am, Dr. Zamora and Dr. Zevallos take their own calls during the weekends. We ask that medication refills are not done during the weekend if at all possible.
How can I get a refill on my medication?
To help us maintain accurate and up-to-date records, we strongly encourage you to bring your medications to every visit. If you're unable to bring them, please provide a list of your current medications so we can reduce the risk of medication errors.
Please note: Prescription refills will only be provided during a scheduled office visit. To ensure your medication needs are properly reviewed and addressed, we respectfully ask that you keep your follow-up appointments when your refills are due. Medication refills requested outside of a visit will be at the clinician's discretion and typically given with a 30-day supply.
For timely processing of refills, please allow at least 24 hours for prescription requests to be called in. We are unable to process refills on weekends, holidays, or after office hours. Additionally, Z&Z Medical Associates will not refill lost or stolen controlled substances. Keeping your follow-up appointments helps us ensure that you receive the best care and the proper medication management.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We understand that schedules can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time with no charge. However, if you cancel, reschedule within 24 hours, or miss your appointment without prior notice ("no-show"), a $25 fee will be applied to cover the reserved time.
To avoid this fee, please make sure to contact us at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel or reschedule by calling our office or using our online appointment request. If you experience an emergency or extenuating circumstance, please reach out, and we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.
