I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 14 years of clinical experience and a strong foundation in family medicine, substance use treatment, and hospice care. My practice is grounded in a holistic, patient-centered approach that recognizes the intricate connection between mind and body.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2012) and Master of Science in Nursing (2017) from Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD. In 2024, I expanded my expertise by completing the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Walden University.
Before specializing in psychiatry, I spent eight years in family practice, caring for patients across the lifespan. This experience shaped my understanding of whole-person care, emphasizing prevention, chronic disease management, and the integration of physical and mental health. My eight years in substance use treatment deepened my commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care that supports individuals on their path to recovery. Additionally, my seven years in hospice care strengthened my ability to guide patients and families through the emotional complexities of end-of-life care, with a focus on dignity, comfort, and emotional well-being.
Today, as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I draw on this diverse background to deliver personalized, empathetic mental health care. I diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. I am especially passionate about combining therapy, medication management, and patient education to help individuals feel empowered in their mental health journey.
My mission is to create a safe and supportive space where patients feel truly heard and understood. I am deeply committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care that fosters resilience, emotional wellness, and an improved quality of life.
