In light of the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19 , we understand patients may be hesitant to visit a medical office, especially those with chronic conditions or weaker immune systems. New Paltz Podiatry is proud to announce the launch of our new Virtual Visit program. This program will allow us to support our patients by providing convenient and high-quality healthcare from the comfort of your home.
Who should consider using our Virtual Visit program?
All patients should utilize this program prior to coming into the office, especially the elderly and immunocompromised. Additionally, anyone who may have had contact with a COVID-19 positive patient or otherwise suspect contracting the virus should use this service.
How does it work?
To sign up for a Virtual Visit appointment please call our office and leave a message. One of our helpful team members will return your call shortly to schedule your Virtual Visit with Dr. Bryan Kolber. Once scheduled you will receive an email with instructions on how to access Doxy.me using your mobile phone, computer, or tablet device (must be equipped with a camera).
During your virtual visit, you and Dr. Kolber will be able to see and talk with each other in real time – so you can ask questions and have a conversation the same way you would in your provider’s office.
What if additional testing is needed?
If any additional testing is needed, Dr. Kolber will advise you during your Virtual Visit on what will need to be done & how it will be handled safely.
Does my Insurance cover Virtual Visits?
Medicare, Medicaid and most major insurers have announced they will cover telemedicine visits the same way they would cover in-office visits. If your insurance carrier does not cover telemedicine you will be billed according to our patient self-pay fee schedule.
