Very detailed and happy to answer any question I had, it was a very calming experience to know the dentist really cared about me and wanted me to be comfortable with my care. I started going to Dr. Cantwil about 7 years ago when I moved to Flushing, he was highly recommended and I have been pleased ever since. The office staff is friendly and very personable, my dental hygienist Kathy is excellent and one of the most gentle and thorough hygienist I've been to in years. Growing up, my family felt professional dental care to be a luxury and this was a bad habit I carried with me into adulthood. When I decided it was time to correct this, a friend recommended Dr. Cantwil. I was fairly anxious about my first real visit to the dentist--I needn't have been. Dr. Cantwil and his staff are friendly, understanding, professional, and communicative throughout the entire process. It makes for a relaxed environment and any anxiety I had about my various "firsts" disappeared each time I settled into the chair. The experience was exactly what I needed to encourage me to to keep coming in. Dr. Cantwil is seriously the best dentist I've had in my life. When he says he takes time to get to know his patients, he really means it. He is also an incredibly professional and ethical person. He always takes the time to explain each procedure and why it’s necessary. He and his staff are consistently very attentive and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure patients are comfortable. It’s clear that they really care and have patients’ best interests in mind. A few days after I had a crown put in, Dr. Cantwil personally called me on a Saturday to make sure that my recovery was going well.
