Your first visit:

Your first visit will follow one of two paths: the "problem-focused" or "emergency" exam, or a comprehensive exam and cleaning.

In the problem-focused visit, we will review your medical history and your current problem. We may take x-rays or use other diagnostic tests to diagnose, then we will develop a treatment plan and, time-permitting, treat and resolve the problem. After your emergent needs are met, we will schedule a return visit for your comprehensive exam and cleaning.

In the comprehensive exam and cleaning visit, we will review your medical and dental history (if you have a medication list, please bring it with you). We will take the necessary x-rays, complete a charting of your gum health, and do a full cleaning. Patients who have gum disease may require a second "deep" cleaning at a later appointment. The comprehensive exam is completed and customized treatment plan options are developed specific to your needs. We will answer all your questions and go over any brushing and flossing techniques to improve your oral health! Please allow two hours for the full new patient comprehensive exam and cleaning.

Training & Expertise

As your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your smile healthy. To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. This includes the recent addition of a digital panoramic x-ray machine and a laser to improve and expand the dental procedures offered, as well as TVs in every operatory room for patient comfort. Also, being members of several professional dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.
