Dental Staff - Syracuse, NY Dentists

Dr. Wolhandler is a gentle, caring dentist who makes patient comfort his top priority. He grew up in Syracuse and earned his BS Degree at RIT in Rochester, New York. He obtained his DDS Degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis and went on to complete a residency program at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Wolhandler is committed to continuing education and has completed extensive post-graduate training in oral surgery, sleep apnea appliances, cosmetic dentistry and implantology. Dr. Wolhandler is certified in Invisalign and is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, American Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society, and Onondaga County Dental Society. 

Dr. Wolhandler's wife, Dr. Katie Fiori is an OB-GYN physician at CNY Women's Health Care in East Syracuse. They enjoy playing tennis, skiing and cooking meals at home. One of Dr. Wolhandler's goals is to give back to the community, especially to those who need it most. 

Dr. Lawitts is retiring after 40 years and will no longer be practicing dentistry. She will remain a consultant. She is honored to have had the opportunity to care for the many patients who have become like family. She is thrilled and thankful to leave her patient's care to her son, Dr. Josh Wolhandler.
