Facilities and Equipment

CEREC 3D - 1 Visit Crowns

CEREC Crowns - CEREC is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. CEREC means we can use strong, tooth colored ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function. CEREC is metal free, no silver fillings to discolor your smile. How does CEREC work?

  • The defective filling & decay is removed.
  • A reflective powder prepares the tooth for imaging.
  • An optical 3D image is acquired with a small camera, directly in your mouth.
  • The restoration is created on a computer screen.
  • Diamond coated instruments mill a ceramic block to reproduce the design.
  • After polishing, a unique light hardens the material, uniting porcelain & tooth.

Perfectly bonded porcelain ensures an extremely long life for your teeth. Maximum strength, great looks!

Digital X-rays - Digital radiographs are one of the newest X-ray techniques around. With digital radiographs, the film is replaced with a flat electronic pad or sensor. The X-rays hit the pad the same way they hit the film. But instead of developing the film in a dark room, the image is electronically sent directly to a computer where the image appears on the screen. The image can then be stored on the computer or printed out. Radiation is reduced by as much as 80% over traditional X-rays.

Intra Oral Photography - Our intraoral camera is a wand-like device with a tiny magnifying lens that projects a picture from inside your mouth onto a screen. The image, which is magnified up to 40 times its original size, allows Dr. Zimmerman and you to see fractured enamel, gum recession, fracture lines in teeth, and breakdowns of restorations. It is also useful documentation for insurance companies.

For Your Comfort - We at Dr. Zimmerman's strive to make your dental visit as comfortable as possible. Along with great, modern dental care we also offer our visitors beverages and fresh baked bread while waiting; Cookie Company certificates for our young visitors; televisions in each dental room for your pleasure, as well as warm scented towels for use after your dental procedure.
