We are lucky in so many ways to live in Napa Valley. There is an abundance of resources to support children and families.
Here are links and contact information to some of the community organizations we feel offer good services.

  • Provides a nurturing refuge for women and children suffering from domestic violence and/or sexual assault, and is a catalyst for change through prevention, intervention and advocacy.

  • LGBTQ Connection promotes LGBTQ leadership, supports underserved people, develops partnerships, builds the community's capacity to include and welcome LGBTQ people, increases visibility and serves as Napa County's LGBTQ hub of support for youth dealing with sexual orientation issues.

Health & Mental Health Services

  • Provide home visitation for pregnant women, postpartum women, infants and children up to age 21, fathers and families.


Children’s Health Initiative (CHI) 707-227-0830 www.napachi.org

  • CHI is dedicated to achieving 100% healthcare coverage for all Napa County children, from prenatal through age 18. Working with community partners, CHI’s specially trained  staff reaches out to families in Napa County who need information and assistance in enrolling their children in affordable health insurance plans, including prenatal coverage for pregnant women.

  • Aldea offers a wide variety of treatment options with a continuum of care ranging from outpatient counseling services for children and adults, therapeutic schools, supported living for adults with developmental disabilities, treatment foster care, and residential treatment.


Napa County Mental Health Crisis Line 707-253-4711 www.countyofnapa.org

  • If you or someone you know may have a mental health crisis or mental health emergency please call the above number 24 hours a day. Services are available to Napa County residents of all ages. Any person in crisis will be seen and assessed regardless of eligibility. Bilingual (English/ Spanish) services are available. The unit serves as an intake point into other mental health services and provides referrals for other services.
