Tri-County Pediatrics is a group practice of board-certified pediatricians who take pride in providing outstanding medical care to children from birth through adolescence. The physicians, nurses and staff at Tri-County Pediatrics are warm and friendly people who believe in providing guidance, education and support to you and your child in a personal and caring environment. We focus on individualized medical care and respect the special bond of continuity that forms between patients and physicians. We strive to assist you in nurturing and raising healthy children. What can you do to best prevent catching or spreading a virus?

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Vaccinations - Stay up to date on vaccinations, including the flu shot.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Stay at least 6 feet away from anyone showing obvious symptoms.
Avoid traveling to areas where the virus is spreading rapidly.
Stay home when you are sick.

Dr. Lucila Velez has been a board certified pediatrician since 1984. She earned her degree in medicine from Central University of Madrid, Spain. She completed her pediatrics residency at Presbyterian Hospital and Puerto Rico Medical Center in Santurce, Puerto Rico.

Dr. Sushila Mathew has been a board certified pediatrician practicing pediatrics since 1986. She earned her degree in medicine from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. She completed her pediatrics residency at Mt. Vernon Hospital in NY and at TC Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Having completed a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, she brings a valuable expertise and wealth of knowledge to the practice.

Dr. Gerren Ector is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 to attend Spelman College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then went on to obtain her Medical Degree from Morehouse School of Medicine to fulfill her dreams of becoming a pediatrician by completing her pediatric training at the Morehouse Community Residency Program in Atlanta, GA.
