PAULA M. MARELLA, DPM, FACFAS, FACFAOM
Dr. Marella received her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University in Athletic Training and worked as a Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer at the collegiate level for 5 years prior to entering Podiatric Medical School. She graduated from New York College of Podiatric Medicine, New York, New York and completed residencies at the V.A. Medical Center, Massachusetts and Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island ( Surgical, Brown University).
She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of both the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Marella continues to treat competitive athletes including runners at the Boston Marathon where she has volunteered in the medical tent at the finish line since 1985.
Dr. Marella is an active staff member at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth where she performs foot surgery.
KIMBERLY T. THURMOND, DPM, CWSP
Dr. Kimberly Thurmond received her undergraduate degree from Hampton University in Biology/Pre-Med. She graduated from Temple University School of Podiatry formerly known as PA College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her general and surgical residencies at V.A. Medical Center and Sheehan Memorial Hospital, New York.
Dr. Thurmond has furthered her training in general podiatry and is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician and Fellow of the American Board of Wound Management.
