"Heal the Healer" Session to Aid Terrorist Trauma Caregivers

What: "Heal the Healer" session for almost 200 doctors, psychologists, social workers, chiropractors, and other professionals who are helping the trauma victims of the September 11 World Trade Center terrorist tragedy.

Why: To discharge the emotional distress that healers are experiencing and teach a fast-working technique to these overburdened healthcare professionals who are seeing a steady stream of acute stress disorder victims.

Where: Newark Gateway Hilton, Gateway Center, Raymond Blvd., Newark, New Jersey.

When: 1:30 to 5 pm Friday, October 5, 2001

How: The healing session is a public service project sponsored by The ONE Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in California that promotes natural healing through Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). More than 4,000 doctors, therapists and other licensed healthcare workers in all 50 states and more than 30 countries throughout the world have been trained to assist patients with NET.

The four-day training seminar is being provided by NET, Inc. to all licensed, qualified healthcare providers. NET Inc. has waived all seminar fees as its contribution to the caregivers and people of the tri-state area.

Who: NET practitioners from around the country are flying in to conduct the session. Available for interviews is The ONE Foundation Vice President Dr. Brent Babcock of Oklahoma, a chiropractor called in to treat survivors of the Oklahoma City federal building bombing and post-traumatic stress sufferers at the time of the subsequent execution of Timothy McVeigh. Dr. Babcock is a certified NET practitioner who has practiced NET since 1990.

Background: NET is a technique that quickly normalizes physical and emotional stress. Developed in the early 1980s, NET assists the body's natural healing process in discharging unresolved emotional issues and their harmful effects. NET is often effective in quickly helping conditions such as nightmares, flashbacks, depression, anxieties and phobias.

You also can contact Henry DeVries at 858-566-9491. For more information on The ONE Foundation and NET visit the Web site at www.onefoundation.org .

Oklahoma City Doctor
Named Doctor of the Year

Oklahoma City, OK, August 6, 2002 — Dr. Brent Babcock, a certified Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) practitioner, was honored with the title of Doctor of the Year by his NET colleagues last weekend at the annual “Gathering of the Eagles” in Golden, Colorado. The Eagles seminar brings together NET practitioners to share and teach new procedures. Practitioners include more than 4,000 doctors (medical, osteopathic, and chiropractic), acupuncturists, therapists and other licensed healthcare workers in all 50 states and more than 30 countries throughout the world. The recipient of this award is singled out by his colleagues for having continually strived for excellence in their particular health care field, and for having exhibited unequivocal leadership qualities.

During the Eagles seminar, Dr. Babcock, along with Dr. Wayne Scott of Toronto, Canada, presented a breakthrough technique involving fetal transference, which helps patients become balanced with what remains in their body from a twin. The technique is helpful for patients that have had an organ transplant, blood transfusion or other procedures.

In addition to running a full-time practice in Oklahoma City, Dr. Babcock serves as the vice president of the ONE Research Foundation, helping to further research on validating the technique’s results. Last year, after the September 11 World Trade Center terrorist tragedy, Dr. Babcock flew to New Jersey to be part of a group of NET practitioners working with healers who were directly in contact with victims. He also served as the spokesperson for the ONE Research Foundation because of his firsthand experience in the use of NET in treating the survivors of the Oklahoma City federal building bombing and those who suffered post-traumatic stress during the subsequent execution of Timothy McVeigh.

Dr. Babcock is a 1980 graduate of Brigham Young University and a 1984 graduate of the Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas. He has been practicing NET since 1990. He resides in Mustang with his wife and four children.
