Dentist in Akron, OH

Dr. DiPiero grew up in Sagamore Hills, Ohio and attended Western Reserve Academy in Hudson for high school, before heading to Duke University in North Carolina for her undergraduate education. She moved back to the buckeye state to attend dental school and graduated Cum Laude from The Ohio State University .

While in dental school Dr. DiPiero was chosen as one of only two Ohio State dental students to provide dental care to all of the student-athletes at the University. She was actively involved in the community with regards to dental services and volunteerism in underserved areas of Ohio and received the distinguished community outreach award upon graduation.

Dr. DiPiero’s dental interests are multi-faceted. She is certified in Invisalign, which is a cosmetic and orthodontic procedure to help move teeth into a more favorable alignment. She is well studied in the emerging field of “dental sleep medicine” and feels strongly about her role as a dentist in helping people with Obstructive Sleep Apnea become healthier and better rested. Dr. DiPiero is currently partaking in the externship program for implant dentistry at the highly regarded Midwest Implant Institute. Dr. DiPiero works exceptionally well with children. She loves incorporating the newest technology into patient care and education, and uses CadCam 3D imaging, intraoral cameras and a laser to help make treatment more efficient and comfortable for her patients.

Dr. DiPiero is very active in promoting her profession via involvement at the local, state and national levels in organized dentistry. She recently served a term as a delegate to the Ohio Dental Association .

Dr. DiPiero is an avid sports fan and loves cheering on the Cleveland Cavs, Browns, Indians/Guardians, OSU Buckeyes and Duke Blue Devils. She hasn't found a new hobby she doesn't like (aside from a brief stint with the harmonica). She works out daily (Orangetheory, Pilates or on the Peloton), has run several marathons, and loves connecting with nature - whether by running on the towpath, skiing down the side of a mountain, golfing (or attempting to), or SCUBA diving. She is working on completing her private pilot's license and will go to any and all music concerts she can. She firmly believes food, movement and laughter shared with loved ones are often the very best medicine. Dr. DiPiero loves cooking, eating (and spreading the word about!) a whole-foods-plant-based lifestyle, and will talk your ear off about it if you let her. During the “Covid shut-down" she got very into houseplants and has now cured her previously brown-thumb. She loves how the field of dentistry allows her to get to know her patients and their families better and better over time, and is honored to help make their smiles happier and healthier!
