Dr. David E. Habecker
Dr. David Habecker has been practicing dentistry since 1989 after receiving his dental degree from The University of Michigan. Previously he received his Bachelor of Arts from Spring Arbor College with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Habecker came to Schoolcraft in 1992 after purchasing an existing dental practice. The practice moved to its current location in 1994.
Dr. Habecker is a caring person who desires that his patients reach their optimal dental health. He listens to their needs, questions and desires to help guide them in the proper direction. Dr. Habecker provides Cosmetic, Aesthetic, Restorative, Crown & Bridge and Implant treatment. He attends many hours of continuing education to further enhance his skills so as to provide the best possible treatment for his patients.
Dr. Habecker has been married since 1984 to his wife, Nadia. They have two children. Brent completed his dental degree from The University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Alyssa completed her CRNA degree from Michigan State University School of Nursing.
Dr. Habecker enjoys spending time with his family. His interest include vintage cars, boating, hunting and bicycling. He has been participating in the Make a Wish 300 mile bicycle trip that raises funds to grant terminally ill children their wishes.
It has been my honor and pleasure to serve your dental needs and the dental needs of Schoolcraft for the past 31 years. With that said, Nadia and I are retiring and looking forward to this next chapter of our lives. We have been searching for just the right dentist to continue the high standards of dental care that we have strived for. Dr. Alex Keefer has met all of those requirements and more. Dr. Keefer has purchased the practice and will begin to serve you and continue with the high level of dental care that you are accustomed to. My name is Dr. Alex Keefer and I am honored to introduce myself to you and the Schoolcraft community. My wife, Dr. Emily Keefer, and I have purchased Dr. Habecker’s office and I will begin seeing patients at the office as of June 15, 2023. I pride myself on building meaningful connections with patients and providing a relaxing environment for dental care. My interests in dentistry include utilizing the latest technologies to enhance your dental care, I also enjoy providing specialty work including root canals, implants, and Invisalign. I promise to be honest with you about your dental needs and practice with both precision and integrity.
Allow me to give you some information about me and my wife so you can get to know us better. I attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (Go Blue!), where I met my wife, Emily. We graduated from dental school in 2019 and have both been practicing dentistry since. I previously was an associate for the past four years at an office in Wayland, while Emily currently still practices in Kalamazoo, where we live. I’m excited to now begin this new journey of owning our own office in Schoolcraft and working much closer to our home. I grew up in the Bay City/Saginaw area and Emily was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula. We both enjoyed the small town upbringings we had and believe that the Schoolcraft community will be a perfect fit for us. We hope you feel the same way.
When we are not doing dentistry, you can usually find us spending time with family, golfing, or walking our Bernese Mountain Dog, Bodhi. We love to travel and enjoy live music and concerts. Our families are extremely important to us and we love to spend time traveling to see them in Metro Detroit, Jackson, and Wisconsin! We are excited for the opportunity to become a part of the Schoolcraft community providing you with your dental needs. We look forward to meeting you all!
