Punam Bhakta is a board certified family nurse practitioner with a wide variety of experience in healthcare and has been in the healthcare field for more than ten years. After graduating from the University of California, Irvine with a nursing degree, Punam started her healthcare career in the medical-surgical ICU by caring for critically ill populations. Punam received her master’s degree and graduated with honors at the University of California Los Angeles. Punam is experienced in a wide range of medical specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, and psychiatry. In addition, she is now an adjunct faculty member at Creighton University passing on knowledge to future nurses.

She is a strong proponent of patient education and will go above and beyond to ensure her patients fully understand and are actively involved in their care plan.
