Andolino Orthodontics uses digital technology to make highly accurate impressions of your mouth and teeth that will help us determine your treatment plan. No more goop, gagging, or discomfort. We use an iTero® digital scanner, rather than the traditional smelly, yucky goop, to take a highly accurate impression. This new technology completely eliminates the traditional tray and putty impressions, which are comparable to stuffing a big wad of unpleasant tasting gum in your mouth.
This technology can be used for any orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign®. The old technique is incredibly unpleasant and frequently requires multiple rounds of impressions, as they are not always as accurate as needed, can break or be misplaced. The iTero scanner ensures a more accurate impression from the start, resulting in improved treatment and a more comfortable patient experience. Digital impressions also enable instant 3D visualization of your teeth, which will facilitate your discussions with the orthodontist about treatment.
