Dr. Elseweifi uses several brands of dermal fillers for the lips, including Belotero and Juvederm. Dr. Elseweifi also uses blunt tip cannulas, to lessen the risk of bruising.

Dr. Elseweifi also uses Belotero injection for stubborn etched vertical lip lines.

Is lip augmentation painful?
Dr. Elseweifi uses nerve block anesthesia before lip augmentation to prevent discomfort from the procedure.
Recovery from lip augmentation:
Many patients can immediately return to their normal routine.Some patients may experience some bruising or swelling. This can be reduced by using cold compresses.
Complications of lip augmentation:
Lip augmentation with dermal filler injection can result in asymmetric lips. This can easily be corrected by injection of more dermal fillers to achieve symmetry.
Other complications include a smaller lip than what you expected. This can also be corrected by injection of more dermal filler.
