BOTOX® COSMETIC
BOTOX® injections are the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. Through a series of small injections, the fine lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive movement on the face are significantly reduced. In the hands of our dermatologists, the treatment is safe and relatively painless. BOTOX is a muscle-relaxing agent approved by the FDA for a variety of medical conditions, and is routinely used in our office to provide a more relaxed and refreshed appearance.
BROWN SPOTS
There exist many different types of brown spots on the skin, from ordinary moles and freckles to dangerous skin cancers. Any brown spot on the skin should first be evaluated by a dermatologist before cosmetic removal is considered. Flat brown spots (commonly referred to as “liver spots”) appear on areas of sun-exposed skin, including the hands, forearms, neck, chest and face. The likelihood of developing brown spots increases with age, as long-term sun exposure begins to take its toll on the skin. Our dermatologists can discuss and provide you treatment options such as as creams, peels, and laser treatments.

FACIAL CAPILLARIES AND FACIAL REDNESS
Capillaries are the tiniest of blood vessels, and their appearance on the face may develop as a result of hereditary and environmental factors. They can look like bright red dots on the face or little red lines, commonly around the nose but can appear on the cheeks as well. While their presence is harmless, their appearance can make some patients self-conscious. Treatment includes the use of a pulse-dye laser. Patients suffering from rosacea, a medical condition involving flushing of the skin, can also benefit from the use of the pulse dye laser.
FRACTORA® SKIN TREATMENT
Fractora skin treatment is a fractional rejuvenation and resurfacing treatment that reduces wrinkles to slow the effects of aging and restore skin to its youthful appearance. Fractora can be used on any areas that can benefit from skin renewal. The most commonly treated areas include: lower eyelid, upper eyelid, smile lines, forehead, cheeks, mouth and neck. Face and body areas that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment.
RESTYLANE® AND JUVÉDERM®
Restylane® and Juvéderm® are FDA-approved “fillers” indicated for the treatment of facial wrinkles and folds. They are both gel-like substances, composed of hyaluronic acid, injected into the deeper layers of the skin to “fill in” creases and folds in order to achieve a smoother, more youthful appearance. Restylane can be used to treat lines on the forehead, as well as shaping and increasing the size of the lips. Juvéderm typically lasts longer than Restylane, and our doctors can discuss the most appreciate treatment for you.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Men and women alike are affected by unwanted hair, which can appear anywhere on the body. Patients of different skin types and color have different needs, and the GentleMAX® laser offers two wavelengths to safely and effectively remove unwanted hair. Patients with darker skin color, especially, require extra care and precaution to minimize any risk of discoloration. Procedures are done only by our dermatologists and topical anesthetic can be used to minimize any discomfort during treatments.
RADIESSE®
Radiesse® is a synthetic injectable filler approved by the FDA to reduce moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth. Radiesse® is made from a different substance than Juvéderm® and Restylane®, with the gel consisting of microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite. In addition to increasing facial volume, the presence of the calcium hydrolapatite microspheres encourages the skin to produce its own collagen over time, leading to more long-term results. Radiesse can also be injected into deeper layers of the skin, creating a “lifting” effect.
SUN DAMAGE
Sun damage can affect any area of your skin as a result of long-term exposure to the ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun. Sun damage most commonly occurs on the face, hands and arms, and may lead to brown spots, age spots, wrinkles and cancer. The best treatment against sun damage is preventing it from occurring in the first place by daily use of sunscreen and sun protection. Our dermatologists can discuss with you a specific treatment plan, depending on the type and degree of sun damage, to best treat the sun damaged skin.

WRINKLES
