Dr. Catherine Vargas is a general and cosmetic dentist who moved to Maui in 2013. She attended the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine  graduating  Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Vargas chose to further her education by taking part in an advanced residency program with the Lutheran Medical Center at Malama I Ke Ola Community Clinic in Wailuku, HI.

As a young child, Dr. Vargas went through extensive dental treatments. Going through that experience helped her truly understand the importance of oral health and the impact it has on overall health. The care she was given by her dentist inspired her to strive to provide the highest quality of dental care to others.

Dr. Vargas is dedicated to the dental profession and is committed to keeping up-to-date with the latest treatments and technologies. Dr. Vargas is involved with multiple dental professional organizations and study clubs, and attends  various continuing education seminars yearly.  She is a member of the  American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Academy of General Dentistry, and is currently serving as secretary for Maui County Dental Society.   

In her free time, Dr Vargas enjoys creating art, training her puppy, and paddling with Na Kai Ewalu canoe club.  She is also currently recently married to the love of her life!

Her message to patients: “I look forward to meeting and forming long term relationships with patients! I know everyone has individualized goals, and feel it is my job to help my patients reach their personal oral health objectives. By working together, we can come up with the best plan of treatment to meet those goals to reach their optimum level of oral health.”
