Sleep Disordered Breathing in Children

Sleep Disordered Breathing in Children

Sleep Disordered Breathing is a very common and serious problem found among children in the United States. It exhibits itself in a variety of symptoms and often goes untreated or misdiagnosed. An estimated nine out of ten children have Sleep Disordered Breathing

What is SDB?

Research over the past twenty plus year’s has looked at children who have crowded or crooked teeth, structurally inadequate palate or jaw structure and their sleep patterns. What they discovered is that these children had a surprising rate of issues such as ADD/ADHD, bed-wetting, breathing, behavioral and many other issues. The symptoms of Sleep Disordered Breathing can vary from one child to another but even the mildest symptoms can indicate serious underlying health issues.

After a through exam Dr. Busch and his team will determine whether your child has Sleep Disordered Breathing and what treatment course would best fit their needs.
