Phototherapy

We use narrowband UVB light therapy to treat widespread psoriasis and other skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, lichen planus and vitiligo. Light therapy is considered one of the safest ways to treat psoriasis.  Patients receive the treatments between 1-3 times per week. For each treatment, patients step inside a light box, where bulbs emit a short burst of narrowband UVB light, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes. Patches of psoriasis generally start to become thinner after five to ten treatments. Most patients with psoriasis require 15 to 25 treatments to clear.
