Dr. Amos started in the medical field in 1975. Serving his country in an Air Force Medical Center. He worked in an operating room for four years as a cardiovascular-thoracic scrub tech. The job involved direct patient care assisting surgeons both in scheduled and emergency/trauma operations. While in the military he earned National certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician and an Operating Room Specialist. While enlisted he furthered his college education and received his second college degree, an Associates in Operating Room Technology. (The first was an Associates degree from Robert Morris College received prior to joining.) He was decorated in 1978 with an Air Force Commendation Medal for duty above and beyond. He received other awards and citations being chosen to participate as a selection for Airman of the Month on several occasions.

Leaving the military he returned to his Pittsburgh home with his wife and 6 month old child to attend the University of Pittsburgh to complete his undergraduate degree. Working while attending full time college he earned his 3rd college degree, a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Taking a year off to work he applied and was accepted to dental school for the class of 1983. He had his second child by this time. He was active in programs and activities in the dental school and was chosen by his class to be their senior class president.. He had his third son his senior year of dental school. He was 31 years old when he graduated from dental school from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987.

Dr. Amos has been a practicing dentist for over 20 years in his current location in Washington, PA. He chose Washington because this is where his roots are. Both sets of grandparents and his mother and dad lived and grew up there. Most of his living relatives continue to reside either in Washington or within just a few miles. He has maintained the same office in the "Global Building" almost doubling in size in the last few years.

Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Amos has kept up to date with many continuing education classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care available. Among the many certifications and continuing education credits he has accumulated over the years, he is most proud to be named in the Who's Who of Dentistry several years ago. He remains active in the community teaching classes on dental health at various church and school functions throughout the year.

He has proudly served the community providing high quality dentistry to the young and old alike. Now living just north of Washington with his wife and best friend of many years, he continues to grow the practice adding new staff and staying active in the community.
