At Chicagoland Eye Consultants, safety is our primary concern and your patience is greatly appreciated as we implement enhanced health and safety procedures. We are limiting the number of patients per day to comply with state guidelines on occupancy and social distancing.

COVID-19 Exposure: If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or you are experiencing fever, fatigue, cough, or shortness of breath, please wait to visit our practice and follow the CDC recommendations.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT WHEN COMING TO OUR PRACTICE?

Masks: All patients are required to wear a mask throughout their appointment. 

Screening: All patients will have their temperature taken upon entering the office with an infrared scanner prior to going beyond the front desk.

Due to safety guidelines, any patient who is unwilling to wear a mask or have their temperature taken will need to reschedule their appointment after the Covid-19 health crisis.

Visitor and companion policies: To limit overall traffic in the practice, we are limiting patients to one (1) essential visitor/companion.

Social distancing: All staff, patients, and visitors will adhere to social distancing guidelines. Our waiting room follows social distancing guidelines with markers on the floor where it is appropriate to stand near the check-in and check-out desks.

Optical: The optical shop will be open, however, we will be limiting the number of people allowed in that area at one time. If you are coming to the office to only see the optician, please call ahead to ensure that you can be seen.

WHAT EXTRA STEPS ARE IN PLACE TO KEEP ALL OF US SAFE?

Our greatest priority is the health and safety of our patients and our staff. Given the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, it is our responsibility both medically and socially to do our part in slowing the spread of disease and minimizing exposure.

Infection prevention precautions: We are utilizing enhanced cleaning procedures and sanitizing all surfaces, instruments, equipment, exam rooms, and waiting rooms multiple times during the day. We have removed all shared items like magazines. Our staff has eliminated handshakes and other forms of non-essential physical contact. All of our staff will be wearing protective masks. Physicians will be wearing masks during the entire office encounter.

Check-in procedure: Clipboards are cleaned at check-in. Markers on the floor will designate where it is appropriate to stand near the check-in and check-out desks to respect 6 foot social distancing.
