Irmgard Aidoo, LICSWIrmgard Aidoo is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker with over 10 years of experience providing clinical treatment and support to diverse populations such as children, youth and families in a community based setting, adolescents in a partial hospitalization program and developmentally disabled individuals in shared living homes.

Irmgard has a preference for working with children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. She will work with both the parents and their children to increase awareness, highlight the strengths that exist and learn to counter negative self-talk with realistic ones to improve functioning. Irmgard offers pragmatic solutions to increase her clients functioning by working with them and the systems that they are involved with. Her goal is to find the right therapy approach for each individual, drawing from various therapeutic models including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies.

In her free time, Irmgard enjoys working on her homestead taking care of goats, sheep, chickens and alpacas. Irmgard has a Bachelors in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Rochester, a Masters in Non-profit Management from Worcester State University and a Masters in Social Work Degree from Boston College. Irmgard speaks Twi.
