Digital Radiography

Digital radiography is a form of x-ray imaging, where digital x-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film. Advantages include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Digital x-rays provide significantly less radiation to the patient. Dental x-rays are used to find cavities, look at the roots of teeth, check the health of the bony areas around the teeth, determine the presence and extent of periodontal disease, see the status of developing teeth, and monitor good oral health.
