Meet the Doctors

Dr. Michael Parker is the son of Dr. Steve Parker and is excited to be working with his Dad! Dr. Parker grew up in the area and attended Libertyville High School. He then attended Grand Valley State University, where was a member of the football team. 

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Parker attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. While in dental school, he earned the “Hanau Best of the Best” award in Prosthodontics and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Parker loves dentistry because of the way it combines art and science. He strives to create an experience that is positive and comfortable at each of his appointments. 

Outside of work, Dr. Parker loves exercising, running, hiking, and spending time with his family. Dr. Parker is very excited to be a part of the team at Vernon Hills Dental Center and to serve the wonderful people of the area!

Dr. Steve Parker graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and has been enhancing smiles with the most up-to-date technology and the best dental materials for 35 years. He has served six times with the Marines and twice aboard ship. He has been the Commanding Officer of Naval Hospital Corps School. He liaised with foreign diplomats to deliver Civic Action Programs in the Philippines and Thailand furthering the reputation of the United States. Dr. Parker also recruited dentists to set up a dental clinic for the homeless at St. Vincent De Paul Shelter in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Parker was a clinical instructor for the Advanced Education for General Dentistry Residency Program at Naval Station Great Lakes. He has been recognized as one of America's Top Dentists for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Dr. Parker is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Parker has coached youth football and basketball at Libertyville Boys Club and the Libertyville Sports Complex. He was also the Director of Fundraising for Libertyville Boys Club. Dr. Parker teamed up with Dr. Vince Arpino to provide mouth guards to the 2011 Libertyville High School Varsity Football Team. Dr. Parker sponsors women's league soccer teams, adult kickball teams, as well as other high school teams. Dr. Parker also has taught religious education.
