As you may know my smile was not horrible, but it was far from perfect.  It has bothered me for many years.  It often made me self conscious and hide my smile.  In the past I have attempted to have temporary cosmetic work done to improve my smile.  But, that was what it was...temporary.  After receiving your coupon in the mail for a free cosmetic consultation, I thought I would see what you had to offer me.

After deciding to proceed with the placement of veneers, I was both nervous and excited.  You spent a great deal of time with me explaining the procedure, answering my questions, and making me feel at ease.  During the treatment, you provided very personalized and professional care.

Dear Dr. Patel and Staff,

It is so easy to take friendliness and excellent work for granted and never tell the provider what a GREAT job they are doing.  We thought, Dr. Patel, we'd drop you a note to tell you what a pleasure it is to be one of your patients. We know this seems odd to say that to a dentist because pleasure and dentist don't seem to go together, but you are an exception for two very important reasons.  To begin with, your office is ALWAYS friendly.  Every one of you is consistently pleasant to the patients. You never seem to have a bad day and this sets a tone for the patient to have a good experience during the appointment.  This is something that is to often overlooked, especially at a doctor's office.  We believe it comes naturally to you, Jennifer, Danica, Cheryl and Lisa.  That is a wonderful thing and we thank you for that.

Just as important, some may even think more important, is that all of you are very professional.  Everyone there knows his or her job and does it in a very professional manner.  No matter whom we're with, they KNOW and EXPLAIN to us what is going to be done and WHY it's being done.  The "why" of things is a very important and powerful tool that is also all to often overlooked by people.  Explaining why you are going to do something and having the person understand why things are being done has a calming effect, which is something that is of vital importance, especially in a dentist's office.

Anyway, the short note has become long, but we did want to tell all of you what a great job you are doing and what a pleasure it is to come to the Dentist!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, adn many more.  I have been going to dentists (or rather avoiding them) for the past 35 years.  Until this month, I had never had a positive experience.  Oh sure, the job got done, but not without a lot of pain, tears and anxiety.  The anxiety continued to build on itself with each bad experience, until I became an utter mess at the sheer though of going to the dentist.  You and your staff took the time to get to know me adn properly evaluate my situation.  the exact right amount of medication, support and information had me actually enjoying my root canal?!?  the best part is, I was able to drive myself to work after the procedure so my missed time out of work was minimized.  You are all a true blessing!

My smile was embarrassing to the point where I covered my mouth when I talked. Eating was a challenge also. I did not have a full bite so I was constantly slopping food on myself. Dr. Patel has given me the confidence to smile again, along with making eating a pleasure. I must say that the pain is what scared me the most about the dentist, but Dr. Patel and Staffs have made my experience with them pain free and very pleasurable as well. I had a lot of work done on Monday at Southshore dental and I have to say Dr. Patel is amazing. I didn’t see the needle, I didn’t feel a thing EVER. He was very through and he even called to check up on me the next morning. I no longer have a fear of going to the dentist and he was the best dentist I have ever been to hands down!
