Clear Braces (Orthodontia)
- How Do Clear Aligners Work?
Clear Aligners use a series of customized aligners made of comfortable, durable plastic that fit your smile. You will wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat or brush your teeth. Roughly every two weeks, simply switch your aligners until you finish treatment. Over time, each set of aligners gently and gradually moves your teeth into the correct positions we prescribe. - Why Clear Aligners?
- Unlike traditional metal braces, there are no brackets or wires. Follow-up appointments are approximately every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing smoothly. Plus, your aligners are comfortable to wear as well as removable, so you can take them out during meals and to clean your teeth. With other treatment types, it can take up to 30 minutes to brush and floss your teeth! You can even take them out for special occasions—just pop them back in when you’re ready.
