With over 30 years of quality dental experience, Paula has been the cheerful face and voice of the office reception area. Her dental assisting background, dental design/production experience and x-ray license have made her a knowledgeable asset to the team.
Paula joined the practice in 2011 and enjoys her position, as it allows close interaction with every staff member as well as the opportunity to give every patient the attention, courtesy and respect that the office strives to provide.
With her degree in fine arts, and her experience from her dental lab technician position she has an aesthetic awareness to dental restoration design. Her artistic eye for, shape, color and form aid the doctor with his aesthetic dental restorations.
When away from the office, she enjoys time with her family, teaching the fine arts at a local college, designing dental restorations for a local dental lab, commercial photography and creating her own personal artwork.
Donna joined the Zdeblick dental team after working with Dr. Jack Alkon for nearly 35 years. She was introduced to the dental field while attending undergraduate school at Quinnipiac University. She pursued a degree in Dental Hygiene and graduated with honors from Tunxis Community College.
Donna finds preventative patient care very rewarding and strives to deliver the highest quality of care to all her patients. Her enthusiasm and long-standing relationships with her patients make her a valuable asset to our caring team.
In her spare time, Donna enjoys reading, vacationing, and is active in her church. Donna and her husband Bill have one grandson, two grown sons, Ryan and Jeffrey, and two dogs Lilly &; Charlie.
Shelly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Bridgeport in 1986 and her Master's degree in Human Nutrition in 1992. When in college, she was inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha Association, and stays abreast of her profession through numerous continuing education courses and working in state-of-the-art dental practices.
Shelly works in pediatric and general dental practices and finds dental hygiene both satisfying and rewarding. She attributes her passion to the wonderful rapport she has with her patients, colleagues, and employers.
When not at the office, Shelly loves cooking and is involved in church activities. Every year the family looks forward to vacationing in Canada on Prince Edward Island with her husband David, three children (William, Alexandra, Kathryn), and dog Seamus.

Sylwia attended Dent-Temp Careers in Stratford and has greatly expanded her knowledge of dental assisting. She also carries an Infection Control and OSHA Certification. Her warm personality and meticulous attention to detail make her a valuable and much-appreciated member of our staff, and her ability to speak both English and Polish allows us to meet the needs of a broader patient base.
Prior to coming to the United States in 2001, Sylwia was a Polish language teacher, and she also has experience working with children in daycare settings. Her pastimes include traveling, reading, cycling, and swimming.
“If being an egomaniac means I believe in what I do and in my art or music, then in that respect you can call me that... I believe in what I do, and I'll say it.”
