Initial Oral Exam

Your initial oral examination includes a consultation with the doctor about any concerns that you might have, followed by a clinical examination, cancer check, TMJ exam, charting of decay and fillings, and periodontal probing of all teeth. We will also take x-rays, which may include a panoramic x-ray and bite-wing x-rays for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth, or full mouth series of x-rays depending on what is necessary. Normally there is a second appointment with the doctor, at no additional cost, to review the findings of the exam and together come up with a plan to get your mouth healthy.
