I joined Cornerstone Dental Group in 2006 after completing my training at The Ohio State University College of dentistry . I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga . While at the University of Tennessee, I was a member of the Lady Mocs women's basketball team. We played in three NCAA basketball tournaments during my four years. I received my certification in Invisalign Orthodontic treatment in 2006, which is the "invisible" way of straightening teeth. I am also experienced in the latest technologies of performing root canals, CEREC same-day crowns, and oral surgery. Practicing at Cornerstone Dental Group's state of the art facility gives me the ability to reach the goal of making my patients look and feel their best.

As a mom to three amazing kids—ages 11, 14, and 16—who keep me on my toes with basketball, football, and volleyball, I deeply value family and the connections we build with others. I believe in treating every patient with trust, honesty, and compassion, and I understand that visiting the dentist can feel intimidating at times. My goal is to ease those fears with open communication and gentle care. Bringing my family values into my practice is something I cherish, and I am truly honored to care for your entire family. I am also proud to be a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Cincinnati Dental Society.

Dr. Dowty has been a practicing general dentist for four years and is eager to apply his expertise and knowledge at Cornerstone Dental Group! Dr. Dowty obtained his undergraduate and dental degree from the University of Iowa. As an undergraduate, he provided dental mission work in Nicaragua and led the University's Operation Smile Club which raised money for cleft palate surgeries in countries where access is limited. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics where he earned his DDS in 2019. As a former Lakota West Firebird, he is excited to be back in his hometown serving his community. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Keely Dental Society.

Ever since Dr. Dowty was 12 years old, he knew he wanted to be a dentist. He has always been drawn to dentistry's intricate combination of science and art. Working with people and establishing relationships with patients has been the highlight of his career so far; taking away someone's discomfort or giving them a beautiful smile is very rewarding and he feels lucky to be able to do what he loves every day.

Dr. Dowty welcomed his first baby boy, Myles, in December 2022 and enjoys spending his free time with his son and Wife, Anna. He also loves playing golf and softball and you'll catch him cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes every Fall!
