One of the luckiest days of my life was when someone recommended Dr. Blume to me for correction surgery. I had previous achilles tendon surgery by a Dr. in Middletown and it was a disaster (I couldn’t walk, or run and I was in constant, constant pain). Dr. Blume assured me that he could correct the previous hack (my words, not his), and provide me with the best possible chance for living pain free…and it was a success! I also have the luck of having the achilles tendon issue in both ankles, so I knew Dr. Blume would be my choice to perform my next surgery. Again, another success! I told him and I will tell you, my life has changed for the better because of his brilliance and skill, he is a rock star surgeon. The surgery he performs is vastly different than other area surgeons and with great results. I find his bedside manner to be kind, patient, empathetic and reassuring. He made special accommodations to his schedule (on Christmas Eve) to personally cast me after surgery because have a bit of claustrophobia. This is the guy you want holding the scalpel, he is the best.
