Dr. Zavala-Spinetti

I come from a big family. I was raised in Venezuela with 5 brothers and sisters, a Pediatrician was a very important person in our lives. After graduating from medical school, I completed my Pediatric Residency Program at Austin Pediatric Education Program at Austin, Texas. In 2000, I became Board Certified while serving as Chief Resident. In 2001, I moved to New Orleans for three years of Infectious Diseases in Pediatrics.

In 2004, I decided to move to McAllen, TX. and I’ve been serving this lovely community since then.

One of my passions is teaching, that is the reason why I have taken the mission of instructing medical and nurse students in the area. We frequently have students from UTRGV shadowing in our clinics. Those students challenge us to be up to date, bringing ideas, joy and more enthusiasm to our team. My other passions are skiing, fishing, cooking, and going to the movies.

Being a mother of two children, now teenagers, has allowed me understand and connect with my patients and families. I am committed to guide you in the magical journey of raising healthy and happy kids.
